olympic preschool

So to celebrate the olympics, Corene Page dedicated this past week to honoring the events and teaching the kids about that the olympics is.

They made thier own country flags and competed as olympic atheletes in events at the park. It was super cute and Logan, as you can see, was very proud of his gold medal.

Although we haven't watched a ton of it, we still have been trying to enjoy the special time while we can.

So as you can see Annika thinks it's pretty amusing to run spaghetti in her hair, Mom doesn't agree but will at least take it as a chance to get a funny picture. And Logan was having fun making faces for his new bahavior chart. He has been whinning and yelling bit too much for our ears so he has a chart of his good, bad and pretty mad faces that he moves when he is acting according to each of those moods. He just cares about getting his prizes from it when he ends the day good.

Just some funnyt randoms to share since I know its been like 2 months since I have posted. So were back with more Larsen Laughs!

Logan was sent to time out the other day for shoving Annika off the couch. I guess she felt bad for him so she went to keep him company. Maybe it's good that they're learning to play to gether better! Or at least Logan is finally learning to let her follow him around a little bit better. Ahhh, the joys of children!

Christmas and Dancing

Here are some shots of our Christmas morning after Santa had really come

Logan knew he had come too as he had heard (Corey) Santa say Ho Ho Ho and the jingle bells outside on Christmas Eve. He was quite excited about that and we have never seen him hit the pillow so fast. Maybe is should be Christmas eve every night!

We had a fun day celebrating together and hope that everyone else did too.

We also caught Annika and Logan jamming out to the credits of Madagascar later that night. They sure do like to move it move it!

So while Layne had a day off this week we ventured over to the Silverton again and got another shot at making sure he knew what was on Logan's list (nothing changed ). Annika was still less than thrilled but she sat on his lap at least this time so we could get a shot of both of our cuties on Santas lap, for memories sake right?

So I saw these pix that Layne took of the kids the other night while I was away. Know I know what really goes on while I am gone, and I can assure you that I am not surprised.

Dad has lots of fun playing with his kiddos and we have the memories to prove it :)

Thanksgiving

Road Trip!!!

Yep, we bundled up and headed out to spend Thanksgiving with Laynes family in Delta. And we were definetly gald we bunlded cuz us Vegans were frozen in the 20 degree weather there

But we had a great visit wtih all the family and the added bonus on getting to see Santa and make sure he had Logan's wish list. Annika was less than thrilled about our trying to get her to sit with a strange man with a white face and bright red suit. But its all about the memories for mom and dad right?

So we are officially ready to get ready for christmas now that the North Pole is already working on Logans third year of "cars and trucks" !

So thanks to Bass Pro Shops, we have been able to visit Santa twice already. The second time lil sis got to come along but did not obviously want to be a part of this plan involving stting with a strange man in a bright red suit with lots of white hair (real hair I might add) rubbing her face.

So to even accomplish the task I had the lovely privledge of holding her screaming just to get my picture. Aren't parents just as selfish as the kids this time of year?

Logan was just glad that now Santa knows he still wants more cars and trucks, (please oh please no more cars and trucks) and needs a new big boy bike. We'll see how that works out for him :)

But who doest love having the all the all too famous crying picture with Santa.

So now Annika has been inducted into the Scared of Santa club and we love having the memories.

Halloween Fun

Well another Halloween has come and gone but only after 2 nights of pure fun!

We had our ward Trunk or Treat on Friday night and then lots of trick or treating on Halloween of course too.
Logan was very excited about his real fireman costume and thought he was pretty cool stuff
Annika was his little sidekick firedog. It was pretty cute until she rubbed off all the makeup all over everything.

I dont think she understood a thing about what was happening but I dont think she minded because , well who wouldnt have fun dressing up just to eat candy all night
Layne and Logan had fun trick or treating our neighborhood after I took him around with Zach and Megan for a little while and probaboly my hightlight of trick or treating the firestation with my little fireman

Pumpkin Patch

So we had a super fun morning at the pumpkin patch with the preschool and friends from the ward, Logan especially loved the giant slide and the petting zoo. Annika evene loved watching the animals too. We love having a new annual halloween tradition of pumpking patch trips,. now we jsut have to get busy on our pumpkins and decorations for the trunk or treat

Gotta love Halloween!!!
