Just for Fun

Here are some fun pictures that I managed to sneak in this week!
Juggling 2 kids is quite a chore but I wouldn't trae it for the world!

We would love to welcome anyone that can and would like to be there with us that day. We will be having lunch immediately following, that location is still pending and we will post that when we know. We wanted to see if those of you attending would like to bring something for the lunch. The following is a list of things that we thought would be helpful and you can sign up to bring whatever you can or want to by posting in the comments section of this blog. That way you can also see what other people have already signed up to bring. If there is something that you would like to bring that we have not posted, feel free to post that as well. We will provide the items that are not taken. If you have trouble posting in the comments section, please email me and let me know. (kjoy1124@yahoo.com)

Movers Anyone?

We are available and getting very good at it and in the process now of making our own move happening next weekend. We got the bad end of the stick again on our rental home which is also going into foreclosure ( ihatelasvegas) so we are moving into another new rental house Labor Day weekend, great way to spend a holiday weekend right? We are not quite sure why we have had such bad luck here and can't seem to find our break to be even somewhat stable but hopefully we are on the right track to finding it at least. It will be another close move which makes it easier, if you can say that moving is easy with a three year old and a newborn! We are hoping that this will be a temporary move as we are still trying to job hunt for Layne and hoping that might land us a chance to get out of Las Vegas but we are hoping that we will be blessed for our efforts and can figure out what the plan is for us. We know that even if we don't know what the plan is, that a way will be prepared for us to follow if we have the faith and courage needed to accomplsh that plan.

No Hair

So this past Sunday, Layne finally did it, yup he shaved Logan's hair clean off !!! I freaked out of course, but I know that Logan feels much cooler without fro head. I am a little bit more used to it now that it has been a couple of days but it is pretty much gone. Logan has been rubbing his own head all the time too and walks around saying, "I have no hair!" It is pretty funny. I don't think I'll ever let Layne do it that short again but for now I'll have to deal with it. Thank goodness hair grows back right?

Another Baby and family update

Three weeks today! Annika is already almost a month old and I can hardly believe it. It seems so long ago yet just like yesterday again. She is changing so much already and I am trying not to miss a second of it because I know it goes by so fast. She is starting to be a little more awake and alert and trying to make little happy noises as we call them. We've already been blessed to have both sets of our parents come to see her and our family and still can't wait for the rest of you who have yet to meet her. These are some pictures from the last week, visiting with Layne's parents yesterday and just some fun random ones that were too cute to pass up.

annika poses

so our little annika can already make some pretty funny faces, both on her on and with a little extra help from dad! she likes to sleep with her hands up by her face in these perfect little poses and she also enjoys either sucking in or pushing out her bottom lip to make a pretty sad yet adorable little poutty face. she must have some logan genes in her after all! she is a week old now and already knows she is the queen of the house but don't mind a bit - (because she is!!!)

Logan Laughs

So Logan got pretty spoiled while Gramie and Grandad were in town helping out for a few days and now we are starting to get a little house crazy, however I might have found something to keep him entertained for a little while at least. I tried to turn a box into a rocket ship; he thinks its a cave but at least he is having some fun with it. Layne also made him some silly paper glasses this weekend too, which of course have already been loganized, (destroyed) but we thought he sure looked cute for 5 minutes at least.
If any one has any ideas to keep a 3 year old entertained, let me know, the rocket ship will probably be a thing of the past by tomorrow :)

Baby Annika's Arrival

We are proud to announce the birth of our daugher Annika Kristina, born yesterday, July 22, 2008 at 4:40 am. She weighed in at 7 lbs 2 ounces and 20 inches long. Mom and baby are doing well, baby is sleeping much more than mom but we are hoping to change that!

We are excited to share the some pictures of her first few moments and her proud big brother. Logan sure likes to rub her head and give her kisses, (we'll see how long that lasts!)

We are so glad that she is here safe and sound and part of our family now and can't wait for the rest of you to meet her too.

baby update

Happy to report that things are moving and groving in babyland, aka my tummy. I went to my app yesterday and I am at a 2 and she is sitting ver low and ready to go. I am excited and nervous at the thougth of going tonight or 2 weeks from tonight, but nevertheless very soon. I ahve been busy trying to get things washed, cleaned and organized for her arrival, you know all that fun stuff but I also know that I still need to be careful and let her fully "cooked" as Layne refers to it. Doc has had me stay off my feet as much as possible to try and keep here in there as long as she needs to, that has been a little hard wtih the Logster but being done with piano for a couple months is helping and Layne is a huge help as well. So we are getting excited and ready to go any time now. We'll be excited to be posting pictures of baby sister soon and hope that we finally can come to a decision on her name, yes we are still trying to narrow down but do want to see her before we know for sure. So be watching for the latest update, hopefully her arrival very soon.

Pool Time

Since it has been over 105 for the last 2 weeks, we have been trying to beat the heat with Logan's pool. He loves it and thinks it is pretty funny to squirt us with his big squirt guns. (yes, Layn'es idea not mine :)) He loves to eat popsicles in the pool and swim like a fish as he calls it.

We are definetly glad to have at least this to help stay cool and something fun to do while I am still needing to stay off my feet while we are waiting for baby sister to come. So until we are rish and famous and have our own built in pool, we love to watch our little Logster having fun in whatever water we can provide for him. Just watch out, he does have pretty good aim!!!

The Larsen Family Grandkids

Here are all the Larsen Grandkids.
Right now there are 11 with 2 on the way
We did these over memorial day weekend while we were all there for Dave and Marge's Surprise 60th Birthday party that we all put on for them. It was sure a daunting task, but in the end we think we got a couple of great shots.

Baby Sister

Just wanted to share some of the ultrasound pictures that we have of our new one to be. Everything seems to be going really well with this pregnancy which I am very grateful for and although I am definetly ready to not be pregnant in this heat any more, I am feeling very overwhelemed at being a mother of a newborn again, especially with big brother, aka the energizer bunny, running around. But I only have about 5 weeks left, hopefully maybe 4 if she decides to come a little early.

Back up and running

So last night I went to a class on blogging and learned a bunch of cool things about this program and that I am hopefully going to keep up better with now. I am excited to be able to share more of our "larsen laughs" and pictures, especially as we add the next member of our family.

So for now, just wanted to share some fun pictures and get back with another update soon.
