School Daze

So today was the big day for Logan to start preschool with his friends. He was so excited this morning and I am hoping that my attempts to teach hi tp behave and have good manners are paying off. He looked so cute wearing his backpack and he had fun helping me get everything all ready to go last night. I can't believe how big he is and all the fun new things he is starting to do now. I am grateful to my friends for helping me pull this off and thier willingness to take 5 kids into their home try to teach them and have fun with them. I hope this is a good experience for all of our kids and helps to get them ready for kindergarten next year!

So if you can believe it, our little Annikabonnika is walking around all over the place like she owns it. She was very determined to get herself moving around and now she wont stop. So needless to say I am exhausted chasing after but 1 but now 2 kids all day long. But she loves her new found freedom and mom is glad that despite her calorie killing diet she is finally just barely passed the 20 pound mark today. So all the high cal choc bottles are paying off and she can finally, safely use her bigger car seat which will be happy for mom and baby!

Annika's Birthday Party

Yes, I can't believe it either but Annika just turned 1 yesterday. Our baby is growing up so fast. It was a fun day for all of us.

She ate her first cake and enjoyed it for a few minutes but I gotta give the winner of the first cake to Logan who absolutely devoured his. She sure has the girl gene or something cuz her mess just wasn't as hard to clean up. She loved watching the candles though but obviously got some hekp from big brother blowing them out. She loves all her new Elmo toys and accessories and her new phone, stroller, push n' ride, and tea cup set. Lots of fun girly stuff to add to our collection of cars, cars and more cars.

So we enjoyed the day and have some pix to share. Happy Birthday to our favorite little princess!!!

Just wanted to share some of the fun we had for the 4th of July this past weekend in Detla. We all had a great time. Logan was in heaven getting candy thrown at him in the parade and going to his first demolition derby with his dad, we cant stop talking about it. Annika loved the fireworks and playing in the sand at the "rez" and getting tons of attention for trying to stand and take some steps by herself. Layne and I enjoyed watching the kids enjoy and taking some time out together. We loved boating at the rez, eating at Leos, getting our own private fireworks show thanks to some illegal moves by Corey, opps did I say that out loud? :) Eating burgers and smores and hanging out with everyone was great and are already looking forward to next year.

Hope everyone else enjoyed thier holiday as much as we did.

a work in progress

Well our first "house" house project was the kids room this past weekend. With his birthday money, we went and got new stuff to dec out his room. (Annika will have to wait to ingerit the office once Layne graduates ). It was fun and we think it looks pretty cool. It is officiallythe blue room because the curetains give the whole room this blue hue, actually kind of fun. So we are still getting to the fun parts of moving, the decorating, and we'll spare the story of every picture and room but for those of you who know Logan, can apprecaite these pictures and Logan in his McQueen heaven.

Moving May

Well our month of moving and birthdays is finally over. The last couple of weeks have gone by like a whirlwind and have been some of the busiest ever but we are happy in our new home and getting settled. Logan still asks if we can go bacl to our old house and Layne and I just kind of smile and try and change the subject. We are hoping that he starts to feel more comfortable soon and realize that we dont have to move any more for a long time. We wanted to send a shout out thank you to so mnay who have helped to make this possible. Mom and Dad and Katie and Ryan and Corey and Dawn for helping us get moved and projects done. Our new ward members too for being so kind and welcoming and helping with the kids. We are grateful for all of our blessings and are grateful for all that we receive everyday.

So here is our final ode to our boxes that got us throught the last 5 moves, I still can't believe that they made it, and thanks (or should I say no thank you) to Dawn for taking a picture of Logan and I in their pool and eating thier yummy birthday cookies. At least I didn't set fire to my hair with that one. (yes there are more stories to share later :))

Birthday Fun

Yes Logan turned 4 on Sunday and despite the craziness of moving, we enjoyed a great day with our big little boy!! Here are just some fun ones to share.

He loves his new scooter, guitar, new McQueen cars and McQueen puzzles! What a spoiled little boy :) He sure is growing up fast.

New House

Yes, I know you are probably are thinking the same thing I am, we sound like a broken record to announce that we should finally actually be moving into OUR new house this weekend. Its been a long time coming and its finally here. So things will be crazy but thanks to so many who have already helped us soooooo much we should be okay.
