Us Steelers fans here had a fun family afternoon gettin our super bowl on, too bad our team lost and didn't play very well at all, but that's besides the point. Our little cheerleaders got into the fun, well more the snacks and food then the game but at least layne is training them early.

Marathon Rookie

Very cool experience training for and running my first half marathon this weekend. Very nerve wracking and rewarding and exhilarating and tiring all at the same time but I was proud of achieving a personal goal and kind of seems sureal know, oh yeah but the pain in my quads and calves keeps reminding me that it was real. awesome experience and so glad the fam was able to come and share it with me, never forget that!

Vegans in the Snow?

Yes ,Vegas started our back to school in January with some snow, granted it was 10 minutes but it was snow and the kids, well I think thee enjoyed it? :)

here are our favorite christmas surprises from santa this year, yes he brought many new fun and exciting addictions to our house. We can now get our wii and stars on while dressing up as dora while shopping and razoring all the day long
we had a wonderful christmas and feel very grateful and spoiled, we have very many blessings, family and friends. grateful for a new year filled with heath, happiness and love

happy holidaying

getting excited for santa to arrive by paying a visit to kris kringle himself. the kids love going over to the bass pro shop and doing the activities and seeing santa, well I should clarify that Logan loves to see santa, annika still not so much this year. bribed her with a candy cane to get her to her for 30 seconds but we got our annual pix and scram filled memory. had fun going one time with our friends the Drake's.

pumpkin patch playgroup

had lots of fun on our annual pumpkin patch trip. logan has come to realy love going and gets more and more brave every year. he went on all the rides and probably did the slide 20 times, an obviuos favorite. we had a fun group and enjoyed being there with all our friends. annika enjoyed the bounce house and that was about it so maybe next year she will be a little less afraid of the rides and the animals. we are getting excited for halloween and wtih the nice fall weather we are ready for a busy week filled with all the spooky sugary fun we can have.

homework time

So I know this sounds crazy but we were so excited about Logans first homework assignment this week. He actually seemed to enjoy working on it too. So here's to my dorkiness this week to share a pix of Logan doing his kinder homework

labor day fun

we enjoyed a nice and actually relaxing labor day weekend with an impromptu backyard bbq, equiped wtih watermelon and a fun outing to sunset park to feed the ducks, which the kids loved. the weather was beautiful and the kids had a ball jsut playing around outside and we enjoyed some time to take a breather and spend som fun time together

Kindergarten Kame

So today was Logan;s first day of kindergarten, I can hardly believe it! After a great meet and gree with the teacher on friday Logan was excited and ready to go. Mom didn't do quite as well letting go as he did but I guess that was to be expeted right. The tears did come as everyone said that they would; I was tried to fight it and lost when teacher told the parents it was time to say goodbye and Logan's bewildered look on his face that we were actually leaving him there totally caught me off guard. But he survived his first day and seemed to have had a great time so far. So here's to the rest of the week to find out if the excitment continues. We are so proud of our big little guy embarquing on his educational journey.
